January to March 2010 News Report

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to our New Quarterly News Report for 2010. We thought it wise to send out our News Report Quarterly due to the processing, editing and internet services. In this first quarter issue, report from our churches, the school holds Student Government installation program, PAWOM holds Convention and dedicate Soul Clinic branch church building, Special Features (children fast and pray for their friend) and more. We will welcome your suggestions after reading through our report.

 FROM THE CHURCHES

The Central Church of PAWOM began the year 2010 with the vision of extension of her edifice. The purpose of the extension is to host the growing number of worshippers and modernize the edifice as was advised by a staff at the city Government for us to continue to use the government land without us being removed now. However, the project had not started yet but the blue print has been laid down. Meanwhile, someone is willing to sell a lot of land for $12,500.00 with a small building on it, just a couple of minutes walks away from us. Please pray with us. During the period under review, normal worship services continue and we continue to experience the move of God in our services. We baptized four (4) people into water and had several more giving their lives to Christ and making rededication to the Lord.

The Church branch at Soul Clinic Community got completed and was dedicated during our convention in February and Rev. Emmanuel M. Togbah was inducted as Resident Pastor. Ps. Togbah reported that he baptized fourteen (14) New converts during the period under review. He also reported that the building is becoming small for worshippers. People stand when all the seats are filled during Sunday Morning’s worship services.

We visited the church at Farlie and God is doing well there. A new Pastor was assigned there for the growth of the church. His name is Pastor Perry Massaquoi. Pastor Perry is experienced in Moslem evangelism. Meanwhile, Pastor Joseph Gargar will be evangelizing in Moslems villages near LiberiaSierra Leone borders for the possible planting of New churches. Pastor Gargar has a strong evangelistic call on his life. Meanwhile, Timex ate parts of the sticks of the building wall and it fell, but was rebuilt. Regular worship services are continuing.

The church at Medina has a new worship place. A classroom at the Government school was made available for worship. The Land Commissioner in the Town is a Moslem therefore securing land for a church is very difficult. We are still trusting God for a parcel of land in Medina.

 FROM THE SCHOOL

The Paul and Marsha Metzger Apostolic Academy School had her student government installation program. D. Emmanuelyn Lloyd (daughter of Rev. Lloyd) was elected and installed as President of the Students. Several other students were also elected as Vice president, Secretary, Speaker among others. Meanwhile the school is in the second semester and 5th period. Closing for academic year 2009/2010 is expected in June of 2010.

 SPECIAL FEATURE

PAWOM held a mini-convention from February 25-28, 2010 at the Soul Clinic Community Church branch. Rev. Dr. Daniel Haizel of We Care Mission of Ghana, served as Key Speaker. Other Speakers were: Bishop Jeremiah Nimely of Living Water Fellowship, Rev. Mot Rebecca Galary, Bishop Albert D. Miller of UCCI and Bishop Emmanuel Lloyd, General Overseer of PAWOM. The convention was attended by all of our churches including: Central Church, Medina Branch, Farlie Branch and host Soul Clinic Branch. The day session was exciting and rewarding, while the night session was power packed anointed and blessed.

A child that attends the children Sunday school church services with his parent in the church was born with hole in the heart. His problem was diagnose at a hospital here and was taken to Accra, Ghana for confirmation. It was estimated that he had a very short life spin if a surgery was not done fast. The surgery was to be done in Israel and the parent had no fund. They needed up to $50,000.00 USD for the surgery. The Lord blessed through an American humanitarian organization that raised the fund and took the child to Israel for the Surgery. When the children in the Sunday School heard that their friends was to go through the Surgery, they fasted (never ate or drank from 12:00am to 12:00 noon) and met on the church campus and prayed for a successful surgery for their friend named Faith-Joy Williams. Faith-Joy has gone through the surgery successfully and all is well. A child from Ghana went through that same surgery in Israel and died during the process. But we thank God that Faith-Joy is alive and well. It was amazing for kids as young 5 years old to care so much for their friend that they will denied themselves of meals, water and pray.

Rev. Lloyd preached at Glory of God church an affiliate church of Kingsway on their monthly revival. He challenged the church to get closer to God keep up their first love for Him.

Rev. Lloyd also spoke as Key Note Speaker and installation officer at the Student Council Government of the Paynesville Central Academy. Student Amos Fallah of the 12th grade class, one of our sponsored orphans emerged as President and was installed.

 PRAYER POINTS

We found a lot of land just two minutes walks from where our central church is situated for $12,500.00. This land has a small house building on it on which it is still a give away. Please pray that we can purchase that land for building a Cathedral (our Dream Church Building) for the Lord.

Please pray for our school to receive support to feed the children in order to achieve our goal. To feed 100 children a month cost $740.00

Kindly pray for our pastors who are front liners in winning soul to Christ Kingdom. They also need a monthly support of $75.00 each. They are five in number.
Pray for support.

We are trusting God for Airtime on the Radio cost $260.00 per month.

With the land given us by the council of elders of the town of Farlie, we are trusting God to build a medical clinic in this town. We will be able to minister to more Moslem and pagans through our medical services because there is none in this town or surrounding towns and villages.

April to June 2010 News Report

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to our quarterly newsletter. In this edition, you will read about happenings at our churches, the school and special events. We also have prayer points that we would like for you to join us and pray for open doors to our request.

 FROM THE CHURCHES

The Central Church continues to hold regular services and attendance is between hundred and twenty to hundred and thirty-five people. The music department hosted a grand musical concert and invited other churches’ choirs to glorified God together. It was a wonderful experienced in the Lord. Also during the period under review, the Women Department held her Annual Mother Day Program to honor and appreciate dedicated women who are working diligently to see God’s work moving forward. Their commitment to service and love of God for all were remembered and therefore they were pinned with flowers.

The central church is still trusting God to purchase the lot of land that is two minutes walk away from where we are currently

Our church branch at Soul Clinic continues to grow since it got completed and dedicated to the Lord. Their weekly services are doing well. They introduced a mid-week prayer service that is drawing lot of people especially women to the Lord. They have up to fifty women in one prayer meeting prayer for peoples’ needs, the church and nation. Their Sunday services continue to grow up to 150 people per service.

Our church at Farlie continues to minister to our Moslem converts in Grand Cape Mount County, Liberia. Ps. Togbah, our Mission Director visited thereduring the period under review and reported that the church is doing well. Another trip to Farlie by our Overseer and team is scheduled for July 18, 2010.

Ps. Moulton at our branch at Medina reported that God is still working as he is ministering to those few Moslem Converts. We are trusting God to pay them a visit before the end of July.

 FROM THE SCHOOL

The Paul and Marsha Metzger Apostolic Academy School held her 3rd closing and kindergarten graduation exercises on June 20, 2010. Before the closing exercises, the school held African Costume day celebration, Country Cook and many other events before the final closings. Over 120 students successfully attended the school, while thirteen students graduated from the kindergarten two sections and were promoted to the first grade. Kindergarten two (K-2) graduation ceremonies for children is a big deal here. Emmanuel Sangbeh, an orphans and 15 years old was among the children who graduated from K-2. The school through Ps. Nora V. Lloyd made it possible for Emmanuel to go to school and sit in such a class. Emmanuel had not been to school before, but with the hard work of our teaching staff, he is now a First Grade Student.
